GROW Ballarat’s Event on Social Procurement
We were thrilled to see so many local businesses and industry professionals attend last nights GROW Ballarat event that focused on the new Social Procurement Framework! Complying to the SPF is a requirement for organisations involved in Victorian Government Construction Projects and our goal was to provide more information to local industry on how to make the SPF work for them!
Thank you to our fantastic speakers:
– Vincent Sully (Pricipal Policy Officer – DJPR)
– Tom Johnson (Manager, Local Jobs First – DJPR)
– Richard Nicholson (Director – Nicholson Construction – Nicholson Construction)
– and Rob Croucher (Project Manager – GROW Ballarat)
The presenters contextualised the SPF for local Ballarat businesses and they provided examples of ways business can engage with socially minded practices to further their commercial success as well as supporting the wider community. We’re excited to see where the framework takes us next!
